ON: Driver examiners are set to strike

Looks like Toronto may have another strike very soon.

The union staffing Ontario’s DriveTest Centres is very likely to go on strike at 2:15am on Thursday if they do not reach an agreement by then.

If the workers do go on strike, any scheduled driving tests will be postponed for an indefinite period of time.

There are fifty-two full-time driving exam centres in Ontario and 38 part-time centres operated by DriveTest.

DriveTest, a private company that is owned by Serco DES Inc., has been in charge of driving tests across the province since 2003.
